Morning Of Peace

Morning Of Peace

A Poem by Abhyuday Majhi

Morning Of Peace

Winds are blowing outside,

Drops from the heaven touches the leaves,

Seems the sky itself is crying.

Silence was common to everyone... For what,

For what the melancholic mood is the most.

What happen in the midst of the ruthless animals,

What happened that made them cry.

I asked my mother. She told “She is no more”.

I plunged into darkness, reminding those of her bad days,

When she shivers in cold but no one to cover her,

When she was hungry no one to feed her,

Because her son was hungry for the toys of hers.

I could imagine those moments when she reminds me,

And I shall go to her, but she couldn’t recognise me.

The tears from my eyes flow down through my cheeks,

Like a thin stream in a vast desert.

She is the one who made me a human being,

She is the one for whom I am hear today,

She is no more.

That morning she takes her last breath,

And she goes to a gentle sleep.

That morning was the morning of peace,

As I saw her to rest in piece.
