Whisper

Whisper

A Poem by Abhyuday Majhi

Whisper

I was walking on the smooth grassland of California,

Watching the blue sky and feathery clouds above me,

Enjoying the mild weather.

Someone whispered into my ears, I opened my eyes,

I was in my office surrounded by restless fellows.

I was standing behind the falls of Niagara,

Listening to the beautiful sound of nature,

The sprinkle of water touches my face,

Giving me a temporary relief from my permanent life.

Someone again whispered into my ears,

And I found myself in a crowded bus.

On reaching home I walked to the terries,

I Took a sit, closed my eyes.

I found myself between the coniferous garden,

Under the heavenly lights of Alaska.

When it’s cold breeze touches me,

My soul seems to ran away from me.

Someone is still whispering into my ears,

Reminding me something, but I kept my eyes closed.
