Dare You Enter?

Dare You Enter?

A Poem by Judy Ponceby

The burnished gleam
of a door knob
beckons the curious
closer.

Near enough
to peer through
the keyhole

Where a glimpse
of otherworlds
both fantastic
and frightful
await.

Dare they turn
the knob and enter?
Or forever remain
among the unknowing?

Such a tempting poem .. shall you, shan't you .. a tease yet a dare! Judy, your words are like gems, they sort of gently nudge a reader into thinking thoughts that hadn't entered their heads seconds before. Here you've almost laid temptation on the way, or a gentle push into something unknown but wonderful.
