I Write...

I Write...

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a heartprint ~

"

Heaven can wait

yet it didn’t

with pen in hand

and poems, prayers and promises

in my heart

I write

for the memory of his ocean eyes

midnight blue in peaceful tides

for his kiss

as warm as a sunbeam brushing

my lips with golden  kissed

daisy smiles

his breath as soft as the breeze

tickling my cheek

I write

A daisy a day

for the tides in midnight blue

and the beauty of his touch

for the serenity of my soul

and the one who couldn’t wait

I write

Julie, A very intriguing presentation, it allows you to set the table with earlier lines and culminate with the summation in the last stanza, all of it interspersed with 'I write' to punctuate your thoughts. This is really impressive, Julie; it would have been very good had you laid it out differently, but the way you do so allows some thoughts to seem as if they are separate without interrupting the overall flow. This is a very impressive piece, Julie, well written and well received. take care...dan

thank you for your kind words :) julie
Writing releases so much from within us of are random thoughts and feelings of what was and what is. Putting our feeling on page of our deepest hopes and our thoughts feeling we hold for others and you always find a way to do it so beautifully Julie. :) Larry

This one is very touching Julie. Especially these lines -
"A daisy a day
for the tides in midnight blue
and the beauty of his touch
for the serenity of my soul
and the one who couldn’t wait

I write" - Sad, yet beautiful. :)

a most unusual style for you Julie and one that works effortlessly with your ability at romance, you seem to be pursuing the one who got away and remembering his loving ways, a gorgeous write :)
