From the Shore

From the Shore

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a romantic fantasy ~

From the Shore

The moon reigned the night

and the stars were her diamond crown

shimmering

as slow waves

teased a gentle shore

and the wildflowers on the hill

gracefully swayed

The sand was soft under my toes

his breath was a whisper, warm on my cheek

we searched and found where tides had never roamed

where night had never dawned

He lifted me up and the crown became my own

….and the wildflowers gracefully swayed

~~~
I don't think you have a bone in your body that isn't romantic.
Everything you write is simply mesmerizing and inspiring.
And you have such a unique way of painting a picture with your words
that makes it easy for the reader to see into your fantasies and imagination.
I like the wildflowers.
My pleasure, Julie!
This paints such a beautiful picture in the mind's eye.
A walk along the shore, the sand soft as the whispered breath of love, is an experience that should never remain simply a fantasy.
Really enjoyed this lovely poem. Beccy.
"The moon reigned the night
and the stars were her diamond crown..." What a graceful starting!
Very soft, gentle & tranquil obsession of paradise your words're certainly pounded with. Lovely scenario you've created here! Everything that love has to be treasured with is passionately blew/rendered to 'tis poetic page. Excellent work as always!
Thanks so much :) Julie
just so very good .. i'm swaying in afterglow ... so happens we were in the Black Hills a few days ago .. the rains and sunshine have been perfect out there .. from our cabin one can see thousands of wildflowers swaying in just such a way ... they swarmed between the pines and birch .. and i was graced to watch the "blue moon" rise in all her splendor ... your poem put me right back there in the hot tub .. floating and dreaming ;)
