Slow Surrender

Slow Surrender

A Poem by prachi prangya agasti
"

Slow surrender to the chaos and storm within

"

Drowning midst the chaos of forgotten

I am no longer reasonably sure

Of strength and possibilities

The daylights and the evenings

Feels like an everlasting storm

While everything moves

I stand like the last thread

Suspended devoid of light

One by one everything falls

Into a void so constant

A perpetual state of blankness

Drags me into the nights of coldness

Building inside my soul

A memoir of a weight I carry

Broken and shattered

A cripple I have transformed into

Do I cease into nothingness?

Branded as pointless half of someone

Destroyed and faded I cease to be

With pieces like bread crumbs

Stabbed with remorse

Tears of despair dim my eyes

No one can love brokenness

Overpowered by black and white

It’s time to bow to the storm

Where promises break and pain reigns

And I slowly surrender to the million scars

"The daylights and the evenings
Feels like an everlasting storm" This poem is so beautifully written! Good job on this piece, Prachi! It's dreamy and so powerful.

Thanks so much...
Powerful write, and poetically expressed! I loved the whole poem but this line was my fave;

"Broken and shattered
A cripple I have transformed into
Do I cease into nothingness?"

Tyfs!

Indeed a powerful and sad journey expressed in this that many take as they begin to lose any faith in themselves and life. Well expressed in a very believable voice tinged with desperation.

I do understand the above lines. In times. Scars become memories of attempting love. Thank you Prachi for sharing the excellent poetry.

You are welcome my friend.
You've got some great lines in here. Nicely worded and everything just fits together. I also really dig the title!

"no one can love brokenness"

yes, so profound...we have to love ourselves to be loved....we have to have faith in who we are.

well done.
