Slow SurrenderA Poem by prachi prangya agastiSlow surrender to the chaos and storm withinDrowning midst the chaos of forgotten I
am no longer reasonably sure Of
strength and possibilities The
daylights and the evenings Feels
like an everlasting storm
While
everything moves I
stand like the last thread Suspended
devoid of light
One
by one everything falls Into
a void so constant A
perpetual state of blankness Drags
me into the nights of coldness Building
inside my soul A
memoir of a weight I carry
Broken
and shattered A
cripple I have transformed into Do
I cease into nothingness?
Branded
as pointless half of someone Destroyed
and faded I cease to be With
pieces like bread crumbs Stabbed
with remorse Tears
of despair dim my eyes
No
one can love brokenness Overpowered
by black and white It’s
time to bow to the storm Where
promises break and pain reigns And
I slowly surrender to the million scars
