Embrace Yourself

Embrace Yourself

A Poem by Kulvelee Sukiam

Smile,
Even when the moon begins to frown down at you.
Don't begin to dig a grave
When the Sun never rises over the clouds.
Rise up, high, and tall,
Like Spring flowers blossoming to welcome a new life.
There will days where the sky will not share the same colors as the sea,
It'll be drained in shades of grey
As Mother Nature prepares for a storm
She will force misery, hardship, and hopelessness upon harmless souls
Who fight for the weak and sing for the unfortunate ones.

As the rain drips down onto this salty world,
Dirt will be lifted off our eyes
As we open them to see a whole new world.
The world that was created when every adult was still a child.
A world full of wonder,
Hope,
Dreams,
Excitement and Curiosity.

As the rain showers the Earth with crystals
Everyone will spark a smile,
That child-like smile when every little thing tickled the tummy
And sprung up a giggle.

Even when the moon begins to frown,
And when the Sun seems too shy to show its' glowing face,
Stand as tall as a Sunflower
And illuminate as a bright as a star and his fellow mates
Run free like a wild stallion,
 And
Embrace yourself.
