Full Disclosure

I've never told any of this to anyone before.  I'm not even really sure why I'm telling you.  Maybe because I feel like you can keep a secret.  Maybe because no one would believe you even if you did spill the beans.  

One thing is certain, though.  If you do tell, I'll know.  And so will they...

Now, I'm not trying to threaten you or scare you or whatever.  Full disclosure, though: you should be scared.  If they know that you know, they'll hunt you down, like they've been hunting me.

I'm sure you have questions.  Who are they?  Why do they care so much?  Are they really so dangerous?  I know that you're asking yourself these questions, because they're the same questions that I asked, when I was given the choice to learn what I'm about to share with you.  

As to the first two questions, you'll understand in time.  You'll learn things along the way, like I had to learn.  But if you're not ready for this, I suggest you turn around, right now.  You can't unlearn anything I'm about to tell you.  You don't get to just pretend that you don't know it and they'll leave you alone.  Because they won't.  Like it or not, this Is the real world.  We don't get do-overs.

Now, with regards to the last question:  Are they dangerous?

You bet your sweet patootie they are.

So this has caught my attention as to who 'they' are and what do 'they' want and many other questions which I do hope you start to reveal the answers to. It was very well written and the brevity of it all is enough to want me to read on. In regards to grammar, you have a good understanding.

Interesting piece. A great hook, which I hope it turns out to be a great book.
