Her

Her

A Chapter by Kala Benfield

(Beaten and bruised, But still beautiful.)
She's a queen with a crown of thorns. Young and worthless. No one would care where she is or who

she is with. Demons would sneak through the night trying to get to know her, but, every time she catches a

glimpse of their eyes, she flees the scene without any remorse of who she has hurt.

Her house was not a home. It was a prison. A tall castle where the evil queen locked her in the tallest

tower. But, nevertheless, escaping was one of the only things she knew how to do. She knew how to run

away without leaving any traces of her existence in the process.

Her thrill comes from popping them back. One by One. Little by little. The off she goes. Shell

disappear for a little while. Relapsing when there is no more to swallow. Instead, it is replaced by the

bitter sting. The memory eraser. She wouldn't want to remember anyway. She would have wanted to stay

in the tower locked away forever. Waiting for her prince to save her before it was too late.
