A new day

Remember, no one will intervene,
No one will look out for you,
No one will care for you,
As much as you will for yourself,
So take each day and let it be that new opportunity,
Do not let the monotony of the past drag you down,
And trick you into thinking the rest of your life is already decided for you,
Because you have this rare power,
To choose, to make each day a new day,
Don't let anyone take this away from you,
Look up,
There's a limitless sky,
The world is grand, and so is your life,
You might have to put up with another day of mental torture just to pay the bills,
But remember, today is not the rest of your life,
Your life is yours for the making,
And this world will give you chances,
Chances you must take, create and eat,
Eat like you've never eaten before,
Because no one will care for you like you care for yourself
