Yearning

Yearning

A Poem by kayBiE

Can I get a jar full of your happiness?
Drowning in my own sorrow,
Is really getting me  thirsty.
Please allow me to quench my thirst.
I can't go on anymore.

Haven't had anyone love me in while
My lonely days make these hours go to waste.
So, I've decided, to paint a picture from the nothing I've become
So I can see the yearning in my heart.
The one that kept me alive
When running low on the water of life
Left me close to death.

I miss seeing eyes that undress my soul,
That break down my wall,
And shelter me in their pupils.
That rescue me from my echoes of despairs
And fill my fingers in yours to create a perfect pair
Of young childish beings.

I looked at you from a far distance
A being I've never seen before but fiend to know.
Squint eyes, strained from trying to see the invisible.
Dust obstructing my view. Or is this desert the reason why I can't you?

I asked for a jar full of your happiness
Yet I never got a chance to sip from it.
Now I'm dying from thirst because you're unreachable?.

I liked the poem. A emotional ride in your words.
"I asked for a jar full of your happiness
Yet I never got a chance to sip from it.
Now I'm dying from thirst because you're unreachable?."
Love will test us. Make us dance in the rain and can make us cry in the rain too. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
