Silent Nights

Silent Nights

A Poem by Kaycee
"

This is a poem about Silent Nights and it basically represents the calmness & stillness of the night.

"
As the day comes to an end,
The shadows of the trees start to fade away.
The birds go in and cannot be seen,
There aren't any signs of the sun.
The people have gone in their homes, closed the doors and went in for the night.
There is no noise, no cars or trucks buzzing down the streets,
Not even a crittery creature can be found.
Many people and animals alike, lay and wait to hear even just one sound.
For it is so and it is true, that this is just one of many Silent Nights.

I love your seasonal write, but would make the following suggestion/edit to enhance and give more visual power to the piece; Only a suggestion mind – hope that’s OK with you...

As the day
Comes to an end
Shadows from the trees
Start to fade away

The birds go in
And cannot be seen
There is not
Any sign of the sun

The people
Have gone in their homes
Closed their doors
And went in for the night

There is no noise
No cars or trucks
Buzzing down the streets
Not a critter creature to be found

Many people
And animals alike
Lay and wait to hear
Even just one sound

For it is so
And it is true
That this is just one
Of many Silent Nights

Bless ... :-)

Thank you for your suggestion and your review.
This is nicely expressed and takes the reader through the winding down of day and into the quiet of evening. In summer there'd be crickets, but this time of year is oh so silent.
