Forbidden Love

I know you love to party, I know you love to flirt

But it doesn’t need to go further, please don’t make me hurt

You told me you loved me, that no-one else matters

But if that is true then why do you do the things you do?

Though you were drunk when you said it, it still means the same

I wish you actually meant it ‘cause now I feel real lame

I hope you come to realize how much you mean to me

Before it’s too late and there’s nothing left to see

If only you would give me a chance

And stop pushing me away

Maybe then you will see

How happy we can be from now into eternity

Thanks Lizanne, I think you are right when you say that maybe I have observed this with someone else and maybe a little bit myself because I feel a lot of my writing is that way. Rarely is my writing about experiences I have had first hand but they are of situations or experiences I could see myself or other people going through constantly.

Thank you for your kind words :)

Depression, the poets true friend! lol Sometimes we do our best writing when depressed and this is a really good work. Even though this is not about you, it has depth, as if you have observed this with someone else and maybe at sometime experienced a little of it, laying the groundwork for this creative writing.
