Love Thyself

Love Thyself

A Poem by Daydreamer

Don't look for me to be the savior
I'm not the type to turn the other cheek
Nor will I submit to man made authority
Or place shackles on my feet

I don't desire to make others happy
Because I need them to be
Their emotions are their own
They have no affect over me

Some might think I'm selfish
But the truth is I'm selfless
I don't give to receive
Nor do I keep tally
I just do
Overflow naturally
Without imposing my beliefs

I don't think myself to be high and mighty
Or need acceptance from anybody
For I am that I am
Always looking into the light within
Therefore darkness
Shall never capture me

And when it all ends
I can smile and say
I experienced it all
And I lived it my way

Set forth into the great unknown
Only to find
My mission has been the mission
Since the beginning of time

I planted the seed
And was revealed hidden truths
 The creator is indeed infinite,
Living through everything the eye can and can't see
Doesn't matter if they don't believe
For it doesn't need validation to exist inside of you or me

And when the moment arrives
For my memories to fade
I will see clearly
the path that will take me back home
Unto the road of my heavenly kingdom...
