This process brings us closer To something We can't quite grasp Yet with each attempt We foolishly pour our hearts Onto a written page Hoping to find it. Its intimidating for many, To be so honest, and Open. No one likes to feel vulnerable.
But for us, Its a challenge We are beckoned So we accept Inspiration pours Out of us fluidly Desperate for a release Because Its the only time We feel ALIVE We want to be touched In places we've never felt Made love endlessly In our minds and our hearts. Left without anything unchartered Nothing should be unscathed.
So right before I open a new book I close my eyes and say a little prayer "Oh please God let me, I just wanna feel something real."
i agree with Jacob, to an extent....we (I use this designation broadly, knowing that some will disagree) are a selfish lot and we DO write for ourselves...but why? to what end? so that we might connect with someone so that we might learn that someone else feels what we feel....so that we may feel needed, appreciated, valued, and understood...realness, but the realness we desire....which isn't always entirely real at all....

Hi Daydreamer,
to articulate a thought and to have that thought recognized by another in kind, is the high only a true writer knows... vibrant words...colourful imagery and hopefully something that touches someone else's heart... in that, the feeling is true.
A wonderful prose in your poetry that lingers in thought... a true pleasure to read.
with or thoughts we create,
indelible memory,

But for us,
Its a challenge
We are beckoned
So we accept
Inspiration pours
Always a inspiration and challenge too. Both encourage us to write something unique, something new which relate by others. Great thinking of you dear. Any one could be relate to you.
