Refinement

Refinement

A Poem by Daydreamer
"

Confession of my transgressions...

"
Uplifted and destroyed,
In one breath.
Without ever blinking,
-An eye for an eye.
So foolishly we craft our words
Without regard of whom we might offend.
Our words - more like weapons
Cut deeper than metal ever could...

Sometimes it is better to offend with words than dumbly succumb to the falsification of truth. That being said, we should not offend well meaning individuals. "Uplifted and destroyed in one breath" is very meaningful and relevant to me...

words have the power to cut deeper than any blade...and sometimes we wield them without thinking at all...and the consequences? devastating...

Naw, metal can take the top of your head off, words can make you think the top of your head is gone, but its still there, you just have to find a way to deal with the words. Time is good for that.
