The Gatekeeper

The Gatekeeper

A Poem by Daydreamer
"

What has been created can never be destroyed

"
A little soul searching
Seeking remnants of remains
Untouched by you
Walking solitary
Down the straight and narrow
Footsteps fill vacant hallways
Echoing into ether
Behind closed doors
Still I find
A piece of me
I cannot offer
For it isn't even my own
To give....

The shadow of heartbreak. What cannot be given has already been given away. torn between two emotions. A beautiful disaster poetically defined.

I like this very much. Oh life and wonder --yet how our dreams and the hereafter loudly in our hearts --roll like thunder... beautiful write.

I guess the soul has so many pieces
and we can't for sure say we own any single part

i enjoyed this write makes you think of how soul mates find one another ...... with no physical control ......
