Untouched

Untouched

A Poem by Kris Merrells
"

Life teaches us many things. Some things are better than others.

"

Unbroken, her heart
Unburdened, her soul
Unfiltered, her eyes
Unforced, her smile

Unfettered are her passions; society has not yet jaded them
Unbound are her goals; the world has not yet compromised them
Unbetrayed is her trust; she gives it freely still
Unguarded is her love; only heartache will teach her to hold back

Unmatched, her beauty
Uncanny, her charm
Untroubled, her past
Unknown, her fate

About
It has been nearly three years since I have abandoned the status quo in search of a life that meant something. I always try to imagine what I would think of my life, if I were 100 years old, looking .. more..
