Better For You

Well let me tell you now,

Just how it all went down,

I loved a guy for a long long time,

And I guess someone found out,

They spread it all around,

It knocked me to the ground,

But you'll never guess,

Who picked me up again

And there he goes again,

Pulling me right back,

In-to his heart,

Hitting my heart like a dart,

Well baby don't you start,

Telling me that this,

Can't be forever,

Well baby would you like to,

Try to find someone better,

Cuz I know from experience,

That no one's better for you than me,

Better for you than me

Everybody says,

You can't put a price on love,

But baby when it comes,

To push and shove,

I'd pay anything,

To get you to love me,

Even if it want just for a little bit,

But before that I hope you get the hint

And there he goes again,

Pulling me right back,

Getting pulled by the strings of your affection like a yo-yo can be a preview for a heart break. In this case love conquers all as long as your beauty lies within the eye of the beholder. Great poem. Well done. :)
