Mistaking Adoration

Mistaking Adoration

A Poem by Kristyn

Uncover all the bad
and disguise all the good
The walls that are built,
have grown higher than they should

But the less you adore
The more space you can make
To let in the feelings
That will cease your next mistake

She's sealed in her heart
And covered it with stone
R I P to the love
That could spark in her bones

She did it to herself
Let the walls take their shape
She did nothing to stop
And now they'll never break

Sorry to the souls
Who look with adoration
They're entranced with her charm
Her laugh, her smile, and all sensations

People fall fast
For the girl with broken eyes
They don't know what's down deep
Till she lets their love die.

Lovely poem! Your style reminds me of my own.....until a more experienced poet advised me to work on my adjectives and adverbs......my what? I asked......my poems were just fine! I thought, but on closer inspection I realised that i was only using one or two colors per line, and I could be using four, five or six....for example.....the last verse....some questions to "generate" adverbs and adjectives.....what type of people fall fast? How fast do they fall? Another adjective for the girl? Etc etc....hope you accept this feedback in the constructive way it was intended.....happy writing!
