Meet me at the Boardwalk

Meet me at the Boardwalk

A Poem by LeDiisco

Every night before I fall asleep

I have the same routine

I think of only you

So I can have that same great dream

It starts off I’m alone

But baby not for long

You come around the corner

Singing out our song

I lightly whisper ‘hi’

But you have your earphone’s in

Before you pass you look up

That’s where out story begins

Our gazes meet quite suddenly

I try to look away

But you hold that stare so carefully

I could do this all day

It’s slowly that you walk to me

I feel tingles down my spine.

Because for these few short moments

I am yours and you are mine

I take in all your beauty

Until your just two feet away

I wanna say ‘I love you’

But ‘hi’ again I say

You put a finger to my mouth,

Telling my to shush

Your skin is really soft

As to my lips you lightly push

‘I’ve been looking for you’ you say

My heart is pounding fast

All I want

Is for this moment to last

Slowly you come closer

The smell of you is bliss

I can’t believe today

We’re having our first kiss

Our noses are slightly touching

The moments almost here

When it’s just you and me,

There’s nothing that I fear

But all is interrupted

I suddenly awake

All because my mother yelling

‘Christy! You’re going to be late’

But strangely I’m not angry

Cuz tonight when I sleep

Just meet me at the board walk

That moment I can keep.

:) I can completely relate to this, dreaming before I fall asleep, and during. Sometimes it's better than life right? dreams :)
