Enchanted

Enchanted

A Poem by Lacuna Badtz
"

I thought I kissed a prince...he turned out to be another frog.

"

Waiting for a kiss upon the doorstep

under a moon that shines like diamond eyes.

I wait alone in the bitter cold

and my lips, they long for a miracle.

I remember the cinematic expression

written across your face;

so beautiful upon the movie screen.

I believe every word you say

as if they were not scripted,

because I still believe in fairytales

and their enchanting ever-afters,

and love that is like an eternal dream.

I refuse to wake from the thought of you and I.
