Weakness

Weakness

A Poem by Bev
"

A sad day, obviously this says a lot about how I feel about myself. =/

"

Disgusting form in front of me

a blob, a mass, a blur, a stain.

Repulsion fills my belly at the sight of her

"I'll smack you to the dirt you horrid pig" I tell her

She's feeble it's quite obvious, her eyes fill with tears

She knows she's filth, deserving of suffering.

She sways, she waivers. She's going down.

"Why do you try and make me weak?" I yell.

She crashes to the floor filled with sobs.

I lift her chin and stare into her sad blue eyes

I crack a smile, filled with hate.

"What would make you deserve happiness?" I ask her.

She says nothing, her lip quivers weakly.

"I hate you, I hate you, I HATE YOU!" I scream shaking her.

She crumbles, sinks further down.  I know she's broken.

"You can't hurt me, who do you think you are?" I growl.

She lifts her eyes to me, swollen now with tears.

"I'm you," she mouths looking back at me from my own mirror.

Much self hate in this piece. Our image of ourselves are so important. It especially will reflect itself in our writing. I can understand some of your feeling, but I think you blind yourself to your good. Still, there is nothing anyone can say. Your worth has to come from within you. It hurt to read this piece. I hope you someday see your value. Rain..
