A Poem by Laura

This is a poem about love. This is how I would say Viola, from my book, see's Christan even though she is a vampire and he is human.

I look into the eyes full of pure devotion,
loving what I see.
His love for me forever a promotion,
While I lay here by the sea.

His sandy blonde hair like rays of sunshine shining over me,
making me smile when I cannot,
just making me be me.

His eyes like sapphires sparkling in the midnight sun,
capturing and taking me over with there inhuman charm.
How did I end up with him,
a god from anyone's eyes,
when I am but a pure, plain girl,
just sitting by the side.

I love the line: "His eyes like sapphires sparkling in the midnight sun."
It's so creative!
keep up the good work :)

The part of this piece that really struck me was the purity of the admiration for the object of the narrartor's affections, and then bam! it hits you at the end how she feels both thankful and unworthy of the attention. BRILLIANT!
