The Beginning.

He pulled into the gravel driveway, slowly. It was 2:37 in the morning. The whole neighbourhood was sleeping. And my dad was just now getting home from the bar. I ran up the stairs to my bedrrom, and turned off the lights. And as the routine usually goes I got a text on my cell phone. The unopened text read:

"New Message From: Landen Zion Burns."

I opened the text, and it read:

"Hey. Are you still awake?"

Apparently I was wrong, not everyone in the neighbourhood was sleeping...I texted back quickly, saying:

"Yeah, I'm awake. Is something wrong?"

A few moments later I got a reply:

"Why would something be wrong?"

"You never text me this late?"

"I just wanted to talk. I didn't wake you, did I?"

"No, of course not. I've been up waiting, anyways."

"On what?"

"Nothing. So what's up?? :)"

"Just sittin here w/ my older brother. Wbu?"

"Trey's with you?! :)) And I'm just sittin on meh bed, hiding under the covers, hahaha!!"

"Yep! Hes here. Hes gonna be staying awhile. And why are you hiding? :P"

"It's a figure of speech, alright? Haha. :)"

"I know, I'm messing with you. Hey...uhmmm...can I tell you something?"

I didn't know if I wanted to text back or not, but somethign was telling me I should, so I did:

"Of course, what's on your mind?"

"...It's MUCH betta explained in song...Look up "Everything by Lifehouse" on YouTube!...uhmm, gotta go. I'll talk to ya later. Good night, babe."

DID HE JUST CALL ME BABE.Maybe he sent the message to the wrong person?..I don't know, don't think about it, Kerensa. You don't need that right now. But I'll look up the song, anyways, I guess...

I picked up my laptop off the floor and pulled it under the covers with me. I sat up and opened up my laptop, it was laready opened up to Yahoo! so I typed in "YouTube" in the search bar. Once I was on YouTube I typed in "Everything by Lifehouse" just how he had told me, too. Then I let it load for a minute, and played the song, and listened to the lyrics. The lyrics went like this:

After the song was finished playing entirely, I sat there staring at the screen. He can't mean any of that, I thought to myself. I mean, I've known him...forever, but he can't mean that. He's never showed that kind of emotion for me before...I should sleep on it...I guess...I put my laptop in the floor, looked at my room which was covered in moonlight from the window, and then looked at my bedroom door, making sure it was locked for the night, then I rested my head on my pillow and slowly fell into a deep sleep.

 

I awoke the next morning and had a text waiting for me on my cell phone. The unopened text read:

"New Message From: Landen Zion Burns."

I opened the text automatically, it read:

"Morning beautiful."

"Morning." I texted back. A few moments later, another text.

"Did you understand the song?"

"I believe so..." I texted back.

"Well...Would you take me in? Take me deeper now?"

"I...Let me think about it, Landen..." I texted back.

"Sure thing. See you later."

"Thanks, I'll be over later, maybe?"

"Okay!! :))"

 

 

Now, can any of you say..."UHM....WOAH."? How would you feel if your best friend just told you...they were in love with you?...Well, I don't know how to feel...
