Back in time

A Poem by Papatunde

Here I was reasoning with my thoughts

Pondering about the permutations that could arise,

if anyone had discerned us.

Although adjourned we left no stone unturned.

Bemoaned yet amazed.

My mind was chained.

For every touch to which was succumbed

I felt bewildered and stunned

My heart had gained pace as if it were a race.

For we had redefined passion and reconstructed love

and this was all a must.

Albeit, being petrified about the dire denouements.

We were two. Me and you

I liked the lines "my mind was chained" and "re-conceived ... reconstructed"

Beautiful soft flowing verse and the last line is perfect. Stunning poetry my friend.

This is indeed another stunning poem. A lot of metaphorical implementation helps shape it into what it is - beautifully crafted poetry with colourful wording and a neat rhyme. Amazing. Thanks for the share.
