LIFE

LIFE

A Poem by Papatunde

Life is hard, a man once said
as he tried to wrap the world in his head.
All he could adhere was pain and all he did was blame.

A mere victim of our society,
one that has no privacy.
As we have lost our ways
all that's left are simply days.

We continue to live in an illusion
of which lies more confusion.
All that remains is scree,
Left behind for our sons to breathe.

Old man wisdom. You work for 50 years and you die. The old way and still the new way. Which is sad. Your poem said honest thoughts and real life for many. I tell people. Do something you enjoy. Don't die empty and sad. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
