Bali Nights

Bali Nights

A Poem by Leo

Full moon banana leaf drips
into thick mossy earth
behind crumbling walls
of the deep musky courtyard.

Skin richly tattooed with patterns of searing
languid afternoon memories
awakens in the night
to moans of absolute abandonment,
primitive pleasure's delight.

Draped in diaphanous patterned netting
intertwined vines of resilient flesh limbs,
our juices soak the sheets.

Clear morning throws open the doors
to young women in persimmon
carrying trays of small neat offerings
delicately balanced on their heads.

Last night's storm scattered petals lie
along the stone walkways worn smooth
their sweet scents beckon.

Geckos chirp Hindu love songs.

Your poem is absolutely beautiful. I love the imagery here. Breath-taking tale. The only thing I would comment on is maybe inserting some commas to help the reader on certain lines.
