~ Your Soul ~

A Poem by Misery

He said:

Save a little room in your soul for me

When this war on terror ceases to be

I will come home again

To gather each shattered end;

And we will build anew

The life I once promised you

A life we left one hard September

As many were lost, yet we remember;

Save a little room in your soul for me

Kiss our babies as they drift to sleep

Tell them daddy will come home

When this war is said and done.
