A Poem by Misery

For a quiet space

On an autumn day

You shared of your time

And revealed your mind

Giving me cause to smile;

As dawn’s warming light

Lifted chill of night

You sweetly listened

With eyes that glistened

Charming me with your style;

I’ve seldom been wise

Mere fool in disguise

Time mimics a thief

Stealing all but grief

Yet...‘thank you’ for a smile.
