Elegy

Elegy

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

I didn`t...

"
I didn`t choose the words ;
the words chose me.

Once you accept that the world has no meaning
you find peace.
No green farrows of the sea.
No coded stars in the night.
Do not lose yourself to seek God.
He does not need your despair.
He does not need you at all.

So when you emerge from your house
on a icy morning and the
night creeps into day
let it be, it is it.

More and more, I see that peace is in the struggle. It is that step beyond finding peace within, which is the only place one finds it. I discovered that only a few years ago, when I finally stopped looking in church. Here, you nailed it.

The world is a transit camp.
Each line gives a great suggestion that may be assumed differently by different person.
I am drawn by the beauty.
Very well penned.

Poignant deep write we need God religion sometimes to make sense make life have some meaning yet perhaps it is what it is no more no less . Thought provoking sometimes we need to live life with ethics not for greater reward etc.

I can see/imagine "Henri the Cat" speaking these words; perhaps in one of his upcoming YouTube videos. You speak the nature of the cat that speaks the nature of the existential human. It's strangely satisfying. I read. I am happy. What more could you want? :)

Probably my favorite poem of yours, I enjoy the sense of non-attachment. Lots of times, people become misguided and lost in symbols and forget what they stand for.... Thank you for your insight....

I choose these words, most carefully
to comment on your literary
No code
No anagram
I say it as it is
Or as I see it
A splendid
12 & a half liner
I would have ended with
Let it be...
All Good Things, N

Sometimes just living an let others live and doing good the best you can and others doing the same, I think peace would flourish and people could relax quite a bit. A wonderful poem!
