Frozen Fox

Frozen Fox

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

as it is

"
as stopped as the silence after
a crash, you work through
the snow, the pines serious

and watching,you stumble disjointed,
unhealed. The clockwork slows
and suffers the pain of half water,

for your eyes are shaded in
the ice-light, blue and unforgiving
as the wind gets harsher

simple yet believable depiction of determination over here; nice work

It is a miracle how God's little creatures survive the winters. Valentine

As I red this poem, I saw the fox struggling along, wounded somehow yet still going. A harsh situation for sure. A powerful impressive write.

Poetic imagery from start to finish here. Bleak and doleful, but highly poetic. A good write.

A very powerful poem. I get a sense of sadness and the cold weather as causing the death of the fox, or perhaps something else, as it tries to live in the harsh wintertime.
