Finally

Finally made it 

Elated but jaded 

And my behavior portrays it 

And I guess that's the way it 

Will be 

Until I address 

The stressed mess 

That was me 

Under protest 

With no forward progress 

I probably would choke less 

Without this weight 

On my chest 

Or if I smoked less 

But that's neither 

Here nor there 

So let's not compare 

Unrelated items 

In search of semblance 

Might find an asylum 

Making it worse 

For what it's worth 

Adjust your view 

Change the window 

You're looking through 

The power of change 

Belongs to you 

So only you 

Can obstruct your view 

The bigger picture 

Delivers the next victor 

Hindsight  

For foresight 

That's beforesight 

Which is real nice 

When your life 

Is littered like 

Offspring 

Establish a campaign 

To restrain 

The mundane 

From getting through 

Set rules 

You'll stick to 

Draft laws 

To outlaw 

The outlaw 

That's in you
