Chapter 2:

“I should get going,” the brunet’s voice came from behind me.

“Oh, come on, you can spend the night. I’m sure your father won’t mind. We have more than enough room.” Vincent said. I turn to look at Allix with a raised brow. He glanced at me and then back at my dad.

“I don’t have any clothes.” Was his next excuse.

“Oh would you please humor the man? You can go get clothes in the morning.” I snapped, folding my arms. My father chuckled a little and thanked me quietly. Allix nodded, accepting the offer.

“We can set you up on the couch if you want.” Rosalina said, smiling over at Allix. She moved away from the island and went searching through one of the boxes in the kitchen. She pulled out some blankets, then went to another box, finding the pillows.

“See? There we go, all set.” My mom smiled. Allix gave her a innocent smile back and nodded.

“Thanks so much Rosa.” He said softly. My mother nodded and went and put the pillow and blanket into the living room.

“Well, I’m gonna go shower.” I said, not looking at Allix and started my way out of the kitchen. My parents didn’t say anything and I didn’t feel Allix follow behind me.

I head down the stairs and quickly look through my dresser for clothes to sleep in and be comfortable in. Grabbing a pair of grandma panties and a big shirt and some shorts. Yes, best pjs for the first day in a new house. I go and start the shower, put my clothes on the counter besides the sink and wait for the water to get hot.

It was a good shower, nice and hot, quiet and relaxing. Moving wasn’t overly stressful, but I just didn’t like it. I washed my hair and body and then got out forgetting a towel. Cursing myself I grab my clothes and peek out into my room to see if anyone is in my room, coast is clear.

“Thank god.” I mumble to myself as I slip out and close my bedroom door and look through all my boxes that have my bathroom things and clothes I haven’t hung up in the closet and found my towel. Sighing happily I dry myself off and put my clothes on, the towel on my head and around my hair. Once I’m done I go and open my door again, finding Allix there. I jump a little and glare up at him.

“What can I help you with?” I ask, folding my arms over my chest. He looked me over and chuckled.

“Nice clothing choice. Deep down I thought you were one for sexy clothes.” He said low enough for just me to hear it and blush like mad. I open my mouth to say something and then he was talking again.

“I got bored upstairs with your parents and wanted to come bother you. Is that a problem?” Allix questioned, raising a perfect light brow.

“If I don’t want you to bother me, yes it is a problem.” I explain to him, my hands going to my hips, standing my ground.

“Oh come on, I’m probably the first boy in your life that has ever wanted to spend time with you.” The words came out overconfident, as if he was doing me a favor for wanting to spend time with me.

I nod my head and look at him like the a*****e he is and say, “And that is the reason why you can shove it up your a*s and go back upstairs.” I move back to slam my door in his face, but his hand stopped it and held it open to look down at me.

“You really not gonna remember what almost happened in your room earlier?” He inquired. I c**k a brow and shake my head.

“No, I’m gonna try and forget it completely, because my dear ‘friend’ you’re a dick and really full of yourself, so goodbye.” I say, trying to close my door again on him. But his hand is still in the way and he’s holding it open.

Allix stared down at me, watching me, like he was waiting for me to change my mind over the fact that he was an a*****e, which he is, always will be. Forever. Not changing my mind over that, ever.

“You waiting for something Alli?” I quizzed, making a quick nickname for him. It made me smile.

“Yeah, I am Sky.” He smirked. I hate when my name was shortened, it wa Skylar, how difficult was that? I don’t care if you want it to be short, to f*****g bad.

“What might that be?” I folded my arms and glared up at him. He pushed my door open wider, making me move out of the way so it wouldn’t hit my foot. Such a dick. I thought, making a face at him.

“For you to entertain me.” He said, walking into my room. Sighing I watch as he walks over to my bed and spreads out on it as if he was meant to. He kicks off his shoes and sits up, sliding up so his back was against the wall. Allix studied me from my bed.

“You gonna come sit down?” He asked, patting the space in front of him. I shook my head and went over to my bookcase and started to put my books away, from my all time favorites, the ones that are the most destroyed, to the ones I’ve read at least twice and never wanted to pick up again.

“You have any music?” He asked. I stood and looked at my boxes, trying to remember where I put my laptop and little stereo. I walk over to a box in a corner and squatted in front of it and opened it.

“Look for an outlet and plug that in.” I said, holding out a power strip to him as I looked through the box. I could hear him get off my bed and come over to me to grab the strip, his fingers brushing mine.

“Okay, I say to take the power strip, not touch me.” I told him, snatching my hand back, without looking at him. Allix snickered and moved away from me and plugged it in. Taking out my laptop and the stereo, I put the laptop on my bed and the stereo over onto my dresser and plug it in and start it up.

“Um, my phone should b-,” I started as Allix pulled out my phone from his pocket and held it out to me. Glaring at him I yank the phone out of his hand.

“Don’t touch my things without asking.” I snap, unlocking the phone and hooking it up to the stereo and played music that was on my phone.

“So mean.” Allix purred, pulling me towards him. I stiffened and tried to get out of his grasp, but he started to move around my room with me, dancing.

“I-I don’t know how to dance.” I told him, ducking away from him. But his arms found themselves around my waist, pulling me back.

“Just relax, follow my lead.” He said, grabbing my hand and twirling me. I laughed a little when he stopped spinning me. Allix gave me a genuine smile and we started to move along my room. I was stiff, not knowing what to do, dancing like an old man that was already contracting rigamortis. Then the music became poppy and there was no slow dancing involved. Allix grinned at me and my stomach dropped. Oh god no. I thought. Then he started to dance, he looked like an idiot. I couldn’t help but laugh so hard, covering my mouth and shaking my head as I watched him jump around and laugh along with me.

“Come on, dance. It’s fun, promise.” He said breathless, when the song stopped. I couldn’t breathe, as I continued to laugh.

“I don’t dance, like I said. I can’t dance. There.” I told him, folding my arms. One of my favorite songs came on and I couldn’t help but move to it a little. Allix beamed and walked towards me, grabbing my hands and moving with me. It wasn’t all the jumping he was doing, just some twisting and moving of the head. It was fun, wouldn’t admit that out loud, because I’m that kind of an a*****e. When the song ended Allix just stared down at me, a little smile on his face.

“I gotta say, you’re cute when you’re having fun.” He admitted. My face turned red and I pulled my hands out of his and shook my head.

“Are we done dancing now?” I asked, moving towards my bed, wanting to be away from him.

“You suck at taking compliments.” Allix told me. Clenching my teeth I didn’t look at him. I went back over to my bookcase and continued to put my books away in the right order. The sound of someone crawling onto my bed told me he was calling it quits with me and just sat down, or laid down.

“You ever been complimented before?” He asked, voice soft, sounding as if he really wanted to hear what I had to say. I stood quiet, I didn’t want to talk anymore.

“Can we just stop? I want to organize these and listen to music.” I told him, not turning to look at him.

“Yeah,” was all he said. The only things that could be heard was me moving my books around and the music playing. I hummed along or lip-synced.

When I was done putting them away I stood, stretching and looking at my bookcase, it was packed, but had enough for a lot more. I could always get rid of the ones I didn’t really want to read again. But that wasn’t an option for me. I was sort of a book hoarder. I went to push my fingers through my hair and forgot I had the towel still on my head, I took it off and threw it over in an empty corner.

“Now to brush this monster.” I mumbled to myself and searched for my brush. Finding it, I sat on my bed, completely forgetting that Allix was laying on it. He shifted on the bed and I could feel he was facing me. I started to brush my hair, the sound of my brush going through my knotted, unruly hair could be heard over the music.

“Doesn’t that hurt?” His deep voice rumbled from behind me. I could feel his words in my chest, it sent shivers down my spine.

“No, you get used to it when you do it a lot.” I told him. Once I finished brushing my hair I sighed, when I saw myself in the reflection of my mirror.

“Oh god.” I groaned. I hated brushing my hair when it was dry. It became poofy and just turned into an afro when brushed. There I sat, red hair in every direction, not looking good one bit.

“Looks pretty good.” Allix teased from behind me. I couldn’t help but chuckle mockingly and shake my head.

“No, it doesn’t. It looks horrible. I have to flatten it.” I explained to him and looked in the box where I’d gotten my laptop and found my flat iron.

“You’re about to see some magic.” I joked as I moved towards the power strip and plugged in the flat iron. Sitting on the floor and letting the iron warm up I parted my hair best I could and tied one side and brushed the other out again. It took about an hour and a half give or take to flatten my hair completely. My hair came down to just my shoulders, my bangs fell a little into my eyes which caused me to push them back with my fingers.

“That is magic.” Allix said, laying across my bed and watching me.

“Told you.” I laughed as I turned the flat iron off, unplugged it and put it in the bathroom.

“You have to sell your soul to be able to flatten hair like mine without wasting money.” I explained to him. I ran my fingers through my hair. Allix nodded, sitting up on my bed and yawning.

“Mind if I sleep down here?” He asked as he got out of my bed. I shrugged, stretching.

“Depends, what do you mean by sleep down here?” I countered. The brunet chuckled and nodded.

“I mean sleep on the floor. The living room upstairs is pretty empty with no TV. Take pity on a guy.” He said, watching me. I thought about it, feeling that my room was way too big for me to be sleeping in here alone on the first night and that the living room and everything outside of my room was too quiet for me to sleep normally.

“Yeah, you can sleep down here.” I told him. Allix beamed and walked over to me to give me a hug.

“Alright, alright, you make it seem like I’ve given you a new lease on life.” I say, pushing him away while making a face. Allix shook his head, chuckling and went upstairs to get his pillow and blanket. Shaking my head I crawl into bed and get comfy.

“Wait.” I said, looking around my bed. He wasn’t there. Getting out of bed I look through the rest of the boxes in my room, nothing. Then I look in the boxes out in the living room and sigh happily.

“What are you doing?” Allix inquired as he stepped onto the last step on the stairs. I look over at him with a bear in my arms.

“Looking for him.” I tell him, holding out the stuffed animal.

He snorted. “That’s what you’re looking for a bear? How old are you?”

“Shut up. I can’t sleep without him. Deal with it.” I snapped, getting up and going back into my room and crawling back into my bed.

“I’m sorry.” Allix told me as he walked in behind me. “What’s his name?”

“Mr. Bears.” I told him.

“Wow, you are not a creative person are you?” He asked laughing as he set up his ‘bed’ besides mine.

“Shut up. God for a guest, you’re kind of a dick.” I spat at him. He grinned and winked at me. I roll my eyes and get comfortable in my bed, or as comfortable as I can get.

“What’s your favorite color?” Allix’s voice came from the floor.

“Light blue, pink and any other kinds of blues. What about you?”

“Green and yellow.” He told me.

“Yellow? Really? Wow.” I chuckled.

“What’s wrong with yellow?” He laughed along with me.

“Pretty much everything.” I teased.

“Whatever. What’s your favorite food?”

I chewed my bottom lip as I thought, “Anything that has to do with potatoes or rice.”

“I love french fries.” Allix said. I nodded, agreeing.

“Cheese fries.” I hummed. He chuckled.

“Couldn’t agree more.” He said.

We asked each other questions for what felt like hours. All I remember is waking up, I don’t remember falling asleep. My alarm went off, causing me to groan and sit up in bed. Combing my fingers through my hair and stretching, ending up rolling and stretching on my bed.

“God.” I yawn as I look over at the little clock on my dresser. It was five in the morning. School. A groan came from me as I slowly slid out of bed

“Ow, get the f**k off me.” A deep voice growled. I looked down and was stepping on the back of Allix.

“Oh.” I said stepping off of him and couldn’t help but laugh.

“Maybe you shouldn’t sleep that close to my bed.” I told him, gently stepping on him again. He grunted. His hand reached out and grabbed my ankle. I went to yank it from his hand, but he ended up letting go and I was flying back, falling on my a*s.

“Ow!” I hissed, getting up and glaring at Allix. He was looking at me, with his head to the side and a smile on his face.

“Good morning to you too.” He said, turning away.

“F*****g a*****e.” I grumble and head for the bathroom to brush my teeth and use the toilet. When I was done in the bathroom I looked through my dresser and got out a pair of Iron Man pajama bottoms and a Captain America shirt. I got some mixed match socks and threw them onto my bed. Going over to my closet I grabbed a sweater and my black Moto Boots.

“Where are you going?” Allix asked, sitting up and stretching. I found that he wasn’t wearing a shirt, it was thrown towards my bookcase. My green eyes tried to stay off his amazing chest.

“I’m going to school.” I told him, meeting his eyes. A little smile formed on his face as he looked down to see that he wasn’t wearing a shirt and then back up at me.

“Like what you see?” He questioned. I turned and walked into the bathroom and got changed. I came out of the bathroom, not matching whatsoever, but looking warm and comfy, so that’s matching for me. Allix was already folding up his blanket and putting it on my bed when I came out.

“Don’t you have school?” I asked just as I sat on my bed and grabbed my socks and pulled them on. The brunet looked at me and shrugged.

“Maybe,” was all he said. I rolled my eyes and stuffed my feet into my boots and pulled on my sweater.

“Well then you probably won’t be here when I get home from school, so see you.” I gave him a little smile and grabbed my phone and started up the basement stairs and saw my dad there, with his thermos full of hot coffee.
