Addicted to the Magic

ADDICTED TO THE MAGIC

 

I am addicted to the magic of men

I enjoy them and love to watch them

Playing with them is, oh so much fun

My addiction to them has me on the verge of sin

 

Feelings have me confused

On one hand, I want one man in my life

But my fear is that real love does not exist

And because of this fear..will I be alone for the rest of my life

 

I am not a one night stand girl

I love the phone calls and text messages

The lunches and hugs I can get on demand

Am I addicted to the magic of men

 

One day I counted up the different men that are or were

At least those I could remember by name

I came close to seventy...sure there were more

Does this not say an addiction to the magic of men

 

There is one man that I am addicted to now

For no rhyme or reason our attraction is heady

Makes me want him all the time

Is this love or addiction of the magic of this man

 

A twentysomething guy who is just a sweetie

I have to remember his age

Because I really would like to play with him

Again, does this not say I am addicted to the magic of men

 

So, do I really want one man in my life

.... Or is it my fears

.... Or my addiction to the magic of men

Please pray that I find my way

 

I think my prayers are hitting the ceiling

Because I am so confused by...

The way I feel and my want ....

My adddiction to the magic of men

very interestin writing....yet i can so easily identify with your addiction to the magic of men.

A most interesting poem as your spirit twists and turns to seek the answers of why you have sought men as you have, why you now toy with the idea of one man, why men seem to have such a pull on you.....is it the power of them, or a need within you? It could be a little of both!!

I enjoyed the poem. Wow it is an honor to have inspired you and this piece. I am not sure I posses the magic that you claim we have as men but I hope to get some soon! The whole poem was great but I have to say these lines stuck out to me;
