My take on my mental health

Mental health is a massive thing to me
All people think it's about is about being depressed but you need to see
Its not just about depression it's about fighting demons in your head
You can have a great day and all of a sudden you get a feeling of dread
Then boom
your sucked back into a dark room
You start feeling unwanted and alone
But what you need to remember a friend is on the other end of the phone

This lockdown doesn't help as you feel trapped
Your stuck and your free will is scrapped
It's like being in a room with no escape
But just reach out as not all heroes wear a Cape

Mental health sucks and you need to try and be strong
But it's not something that you get over and it's hard being wrong
You feel down and pity all the time and a bit of a freak
But when you see people you put a smile on cos you dont want to look weak

it's ok to be upset or sad
Dont feel bad
Everyone can feel this way
Not every day is going to be grey
We need to break through these dark days
Get in the sun and catch some Ray's
