With three lines you have managed to describe a section of the core of Japanese philosophy, I am impressed. I like how leave the poem untitled, sort of foreshadows the poem in the sense that, the poem itself is there simply because...there was nothing else to do, perhaps. The second line makes the poem rather sad, it is what adds the emotion and contradicts your first line. You even seem to ask the question does one live because one wants to or simply because. The last line sort of jolts the reader, that the only reason to live is because it seems the only option available. Reading between the lines one gains the crucial question am I really living, what does living mean to me? There are so many things to do with ones life, but if I am not doing what I want to be doing, then I can't say I am really enjoying life they way I wanted to. Obviously the next question would be, what do I need to do in order to better fulfill and live a happy life that I want to live. ...I read the poem backwards and it became just as eery. You actually managed to write a Palindrome...seriously well done! I do hope thought one finds a reason to want to live and not just live because they feel there is nothing better to do in life. I find that if you live this way then you haven't yet gone on the adventure meant for you, and when you do, your point of view will be completely changed. Please keep writing, you are very talented!

Such a minimalist exercise in writing. Is it honest and truthful? Yes, but I would like it more if you wrote a piece with that snippet being the cornerstone of the write. It's a good quote, though. take care...dan
I chuckled to myself at the punchline to this one LimnoH. It has a kind of twisted logic thats undeniable also its funny because its true (as Homer would say) - well, true for some, I guess.
An entertaining jot. Thank you for the RR.
