Serenity

Serenity

A Poem by LivingDeath
"

I decided just to just go out and sit in this meadow, I probably sat there for an hour and a half just sitting in that one spot writing this, and this is what I wrote.

"
I sit amongst the green grass fields
a breeze blowing through my hair,
the blades of grass sway with the songs
of the chirping birds.

Little kids laugh and jump and play
down by the tire swing,
a little clear stream flows down below
as the sun begins to fade.

Two little rabbits come up to me
against the warming sun,
outlined by the rays of gold
they dash off once again.

A sparrow flies from the trees above
and lands right by my feet,
it picks a worm right from the ground
and hops into the trees.

Flowers spurt out from the grass below
and surround me in their scent,
the yellows and the reds complete this moment
of serenity.

LivingDeath
I recommend to everyone, just go out and take a little bit of time from your busy days to just sit in a meadow or forest for a period of time. It is so relaxing and can be quite surreal with what can happen.

The moments you share are so filled with peace. We all need to get away, even in our backyards, just to reconnect to the world. The pace of life can be maddening. Thanks for sharing!

Good write. Peaceful. The poem moves along easily and gives the reader a good sense of place or setting.

You are correct. We must find peace in a day or night. I like this poem. The gentle description of a day. I may have to roam to the park today. A outstanding poem.

This was a very good write. It used good descriptive words to paint a powerful visual in my mind. The poem also had a nice flow to it. I plan to read more of your work in the future.

This is beautiful imagery. Your words describe everything in a way that makes it all seem so vibrant and real, I can nearly imagine being in the meadow, myself. Very well written, nice job.
