(Not) Perfect

(Not) Perfect

A Poem by LivingDeath

I hate that things are different
why can't they be the same,
I try to say I'm sorry
but you just think it's a game.

I can write a thousand stories
to say my love for you,
but a million pages later
there's still no love you too.

I can sing a perfect memory
that can make a teardrop cry,
I want the perfect melody
that will make the teardrops dry.

I wish a perfect felony
to steal one final kiss,
before I leave in memory
that white yet black abyss.

I hate that things are different
why can't they be the same,
I try to say I'm sorry..
I know that I'm to blame...

Gosh, amazing piece. I love it. Your poetry captures emotions so well, your readers can relate! This is quite strong and you know it's hard to have regret in our lives. But mistakes happen.. we do learn and sometimes forgiveness from that person we want to be back with is really hard. Great poem that reveals a life lesson! Thank you for sharing.

When changes begins it's so hard and yet it takes us to better places with one another if we allow growth to take place..xx

Written profoundly and the feelings swelled into me, creating a fear like no other, but an understanding that creates a mess of myself. This was well done, powerful and well put together. Great write!

This poem is well written and great rhyme scheme. The tone is also what makes it shine. Young, confused person who is trying to ask for forgiveness and deep affection from their significant another. Great Job!
