night reflections

night reflections

A Poem by LostWorldDavi

as the ball of gas and fire sets to rest
i recollect the times that we had best
although not all was swell and glee
i was a fool to not see your love for me
your smile unfailing the light it brings
it seems so natural like birds that sing
although our time of love is over
she fuels my fire like gas to a motor
i lay at night as my thoughts run along
hoping they run into you causing no harm
i wish the best thy heart be pure
if it weren't so i couldn't endure

I like this one!
Altough the rhyming at one place went a bit out of the way, it still had a nice flow to it. Didn't have loads of emotions, and the few that were present were mediated softly and smoothly. Would be good if you add more to it. Nicely done!
