What is a world without a woman's voice?

   I shutter to think it might be something like this:

A soul immersed in the waters of remorse―

   Lost beyond all doubt, and bleeding from the wrist.

What is a world without a woman's touch?

   Dare I utter it might be something like this?

A wound knowing neither empathy nor crutch;

   Without care, without bandage, without stitch.

What is a world without a woman's kiss?

   I suffer with thoughts it might be something like this:

A world with no blue skies above,

   Where we stand in mourning for all that is amiss.

Dear Louis,

Your poetry reaches out to men and women, my dear.

The last two lines of the three stanzas made me shutter in a good way. Men and women are opposite energies; a duality that you have taught us.
