manic mondays

manic mondays

A Poem by Lydia Shutter
"

just thinking.....

treading through waters

of chronic indifference

truth peeks through

a tiny keyhole of lies

held self evident

making me realize

i miss your kisses

most on manic mondays

Not sure I am reading this crisp, flowing verse right Lydi but it made me think of the way in which we try to distance ourselves from the hurt of broken love by being detached and indifferent when in reality we still have deep feelings which come to the surface from time to time.

You welcome, take care, happy tuesday
Monday, Monday, can't trust that day, especially if it's manic...cool little ditty to start off the week even if it's tepid Tuesday Lydikey. :)

Looking forward to it, I'd love to see you make it terrific ;)
I have this fear of drowning in chronic indifference sometimes...and given what's been going on around here lately, I wonder if the keepers of the lies have discovered skeleton keys...I took a lot from this short piece, and felt a lot in the process...nicely done Lydi :)

I really don't know....to be honest, not sure who Rachel Nichols is. I guess you could go to etsy.c.. read more
i could lie to myself that i don't miss you...but not on Manic Mondays...that's when the lies can't hide from the truth peeking through.

you do quite a job of making Mondays poetic.

You are welcome muchly...:)............................
I usually miss the weekends the most on Mondays, but I know what you mean. The distraction of the weekend gone and now, once again those thoughts and those memories find us longing. Beautiful Lydi and even though a bit sad, a nice pick me up of this long Monday.

For me this is about lying to oneself about one's feelings and missing that person.
