you are my dream

you are my dream

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

artwork by nik helbig

your sleepy caress

helps me surrender to gravity

     i slide into a dream

the zig zag of life falls away

only velvet soft wanting remains

we walk along the shoreline

          your shadow covering mine

kisses are silent substitutes for words

  and communicate so much more

i am clothed in lingering light

                 and yet naked as sunlight

you are my blue sky on a cloudy day

ever whispering love into my pain

     you are my dream

Ah, when we have one as this awaiting us in sleepy time, we cannot get there soon enough - forget the cares of the day, or those of tomorrow and slip away to a zone of total "being lost in you"!
Sensual and most enjoyable! Beautiful artwork to accompany your words which make your offering one of pure bliss!

How beautifully sensual and tender. The dream comes alive in your letters and lines, and brings such color and substance to the world, of love and life.

Thanks, Jimmy. Lydi**
these words linger on in my mind like a sweet song. You see I can't sleep, it's 4 a.m., and this is telling me to go to bed and dream of such things...and use my dog caper as a poor replacement. lol No words again truly convey your way...I plan on reading all your work Lydia, I hope you don't tire of my reviews. I save your poems for moments like these when I need to read something that sings sweetly to ease my mind.

Your absence here always leaves such a void. I come to rely upon certain poets to make me feel at home, and you are truly one of them!

My best,

Lol, absolutely! ; )
As the song goes, sometimes we say it best when we say nothing at all. Indeed, a kiss, an embrace can convey more than what words can say. Lovely and gentle write Lydi :)
