simple things

simple things

A Poem by Lydia Shutter
"

a little romance for a summer afternoon

"

seeing your shadow
through a bubble of light
a chiaroscuro hinting at what might be
i rush to translate you into the language of love
verbs sway on the tree of life=s high branches
nouns slosh over my overfilled plate
i hum a song of change
of viewing things through life=s blurry lens
knowing my emotions are forever genuine
yes, i am certain
from alpha to omega simple things inspire love

'i rush to translate you into the language of love.. '

Can be the scent of... the sound of.. the call of... and the mind and heart sings!

And you - as ever always, have put those brief words into such a warm, sincere yet scintillating place. I've read again, aloud.. and applaud with smiles galore. Beautiful.

yes, not money, not power, just simple things...as the Beatles sang..."money can't buy me love"

and there are so many inspirations, so many little things..

Thanks so much for the review. Lydi***
And so they do, how true. The "simple things" are the in-betweens, the magic that weaves the moments...beautiful Lydi :)
