conundrum

conundrum

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

artwork courtesy of etsy.com

while i munch on spicy conundrum cheese
and crunchy enigma crackers
the clouds somersault through the sky
and will do so
till night leans on day
making her succumb to his dark powers
the wind kisses my cheek
the ocean plays with my feet
luring my soul into submission
and suddenly solving the conundrums of the world
seems like a chore for anyone else but me

Beautiful image and poem Lydi! Absolutely yes, “Conundrums” and “enigmas” float away like overcast clouds when the delightful seashore heals us. Your metaphors appeal to all the senses, as does your playful personification. Aaahh yes- 1-2-3-Breathe! Funny how the bad air just disappears....Brava my friend! Xo

Escapism lives even in hopes and desires. When fantasy rules the day, love rules the night. You bring harmony of all in your words and paintings in the grand dance of imagery.

i love this Lydia .. my cup of tea .. every line strong and inviting to the next .. "....conundrum cheese" and "...enigma crackers" ... makes for a light hearted investigation of the "All" perhaps ... somersaulting clouds!! c'mon ...simply brilliant says i ... suffice it to say i gush over every line and the setting scene and image are crystal clear ... sure enjoyed reading several times .. its one to ear mark and come back to over and over ... i don't mean to make you blush ... but i sure enjoyed this one Lyd!

We all need to escape from our troubles. I can think of no place better than a beach, where your mind can drift across the horizon to pastures new while the gentle waves kiss your toes. Lovely write dear Lydi** and a perfect image posted to accompany your thoughts here..

I’d leave all the conundrums behind for a few nibbles of those cheese and crackers on a fabulous beach with the wind licking my hair and the sun scorching my skin :) oh take me there now!

perplexity is life...and it dares us to figure it out.
i love the pic with this one...because I automatically am drawn to imagine exactly what the woman is looking at, and what she is thinking...
well done...maybe she is watching that cruise ship come into port. And thinking of getting away. Having her problems minimized.
