A Poem by MADAM

The life of a flower. What they feel. What they are. Through life and death.

Profound echoes of color and a breath of life
The taste of silence and a slow dysthymia rising
No pain no suffering. No happiness no feeling.
No sight no beauty.
Yet, even in this semi-conscious state
I smell and see and taste and feel
The comatose life that the dark eyes gave me
I'm confident, yet fragile, and decide to move on with life!
But as I unfold into adulthood, I feel the screams
And taste the fear,
Before I know it
I'm frozen.
Through wide eyes, I feel death slice me in half.
I feel the other self leave me...
And the funeral procession goes from hand to hand
Each gazing unto my sleeping face with crystal blue eyes
They caress me as they tear me apart, piece by piece
Hoping and wishing for the chance to be like me
To be beautiful, pristine, perfect.
To have the brightest smile in the face of death
But underneath, I quiver
I crumble. I rott. I die.
Back to the darkness with me.....
Silently listening to the ceaseless pounding of the universe
