Father

Father

A Poem by MOON

Always I see you in the morning sun

Then too I glimpse you when the day is done

Autumn leaves are a fiery pyre

You are the dawn splendour, you won’t die here

You are the wind whispering through the trees

You are the nesting sparrows in the eaves

You are the vibrant garden of flowers

You are the grace in my needy hours

When the spring buds hope on a given day

You are the fragrant promise  that  will stay

You the invisible waltz dancing free

You are all I am and will ever be

"Grace in my needy hours" oh I like that!

This has a trance-like whisper of divinity, the last stanza is particularily beautiful to my ear.

Wonderful flow and cadence to this, Moon. It reads so effortlessly. It is a very well thought out ode to a Father. I love how this can be read three ways, either talking about Nature or our creator or literally about your dad. It leaves a lot of room for the readers perception, which I always really enjoy. What a beautiful poem full of fantastic imagery and meaning! Well penned, my dear friend.
