Time

Time

A Poem by MOON

Love take me home let my heart unlock

I saw it written on the clock

Time moves even in the stillness

Time moves without a second hand shown

There is the boat anchored in the dock

Swaying to the side in the  shrillness

The wolf baying lonely on its own

Nothings ever carved in rock

Time moves even in the stillness

Time moves without a second hand shown

Will the unseen

Come and take me home

I saw it written on the clock

Time moves even in the stillness

Time moves without a second hand shown

This is stunning....from the "heart unlock" to the repetitions of those flowing lines...all through spellbinding.

this is just so melodic and beautiful....i feel enthused again about time keeping, I like this so much, it's like a old folk song

fascinating write! the repetitions makes it like a song...there is rhythm on it..
Time is not a illusion here but it moves in the stillness..there is something deep hidden in that line...great write.

i appreciate the repetition and flow of imagery in this piece. the repeated lines are almost like the ticking of the clock itself and set the pace of the poem. i also like way you set it up, it almost looks like an hour glass. well done

yes, time's been striding down the line long before the were clocks or any kind of hands, and yes, it's coming for to carry you home...and i know about waiting for my heart to unlock...this is a forceful voice out into the universe...i spoke mine to an angry sea

Indeed, no getting away from that.
Time moves inexorably; consuming everything in its flow--or, at least, helping to convert those things into a different form of energy.
More than likely, time is a product of the human brain's necessary sensory limitations; imposed that we might best operate on this physical plane. The brain--through the use of time--slows down and separates events; making them easier to process and understand.
Events outside time, in all likelihood, are happening simultaneously.
Sorry for the digression, Moon; this is a subject for which my interest rarely
flags.
Your lovely poem well captures the essence of time--its relentless nature and its profound mystery.

Time to unlock that clock, before it goes tic toc
Where did it begin and will it end?
Time is a mystery, a thought yet not abstract, it may rule, consume eat away at our heart strings, and move us to great things........Time, just is!

Enjoyed your poem :O)

Time is a tarnished thing. You captured it perfectly here, I love the closer line aswell, it really drives it home.
