Shaded by her scarf, her eyes full of unshed tears

She knew she would not see him but maybe he hears

The timbre in her heart, the cough that never clears

Her chest so heavy nothing is as it appears.

 

The whispering wind, so many years

She sat her clock by him, all her fears

Loving him and sometimes shifting gears

Memory and restraints her head rears

He the steadfast heart he had no spears

 

For love’s stark white walls and bloodied smears.

He the ship that never in a storm veers.

The calm that heals and parches all tears

Now in this graveyard flaming love sears.

There are those moments of happiness and moments of grief, of union of the souls and of separation. The ship of love faces many calamities as it sails seas and oceans . Circumstances can overrun or overwhelm it as we know . Hold on tight for the land of safety is on the horizon. Sad and beautiful at the same time....:)))))
