Marooned

Marooned

A Poem by MOON

Where do we go when dreams are no more?

Where is this life what is its core.

Deal out the cards, what it is for?

Twirling party dresses bought in a store.

When there is a knock, who opens the door?

Does the marooned ship ever leave the shore?

Sometimes the sweetest taste just leaves you raw.

Every battle fought ending in war.

Remember a time, tell me what you wore.

Red flagged dresses for bulls to gore.

Expressions of love that finally tore.

Chronicle  of a fairytale, another folklore.

Great style with the questions! There's a sadness to it all that makes us ponder, wonder about our own existence and what is important, what meaning there is in what we do... very thought provoking poem.

I love the questions. I hope that dreams will always be. The line "Expressions of love that finally tore" really speaks of the fragility of it all and tearing shows the pain of a really raw and almost violent nature. Well done.

. beautifully written ... these are the questions that we need answers to ... to finally transcend the need for more questions and answers ... this is possibly how it is on the verge of enlightenment ... you're almost there ... that's what my heart says after reading your soulful words ...

"Red flagged dresses for bulls to gore"....that is very clever, my friend! I sincerely think this is brilliant on a lot of different levels. I very much like the way it is constructed and your turn o' phrase! Nicely done.
